Bay Area Art Stars supports newcomer youth and their families during their transition to the Bay Area with enriching art activities and provides meaningful, paid summer work to Oakland International High School (OIHS) students, cultivating leadership and professional skills. Art Stars focuses resources and expertise on arts education for newcomer populations, as there is currently an influx of refugees arriving to the United States in reaction to crises in their home countries.
